In September 2019, Nike tapped De'Aaron Fox for the Air Max 1 GS 'Swipa' as part of an ongoing creative partnership with NBA players. The kid's sneaker draws from Fox's interest in astronomy, sporting mismatched, mixed-material uppers in colors associated with the Solar System and equations on the insole. The athlete's nickname marks the heel and his jersey number in an eclipse replaces the tongue logo. Its Air-imbued midsole and rubber outsole remain.
