ASICS Extra Butter x Gel Lyte 5 Karaoke

A collaboration between New York-based Extra Butter and ASICS, the ‘Karaoke’ edition of the Gel Lyte 5 follows in the footsteps of their previous film-inspired footwear releases, taking inspiration from Sophia Coppola’s Lost in Translation. The colorway is an interpretation of the pink wig and black shirt worn by Scarlett Johansson’s character in the memorable karaoke scene and also features a zebra-like sockliner reminiscent of an interior motif from the scene. Original releases of the shoe also included familiar fragments from the film, including an Extra Butter shot glass and an Extra Butter tin with a tea bag and cherry eucalyptus lozenges.
